Leadership

Leadership is in reality personal development. In order to lead people you must be able to lead yourself. This requires that you reflect on where you are and where you want to go. You need to know your purpose and why you do what you do.

You have to be able to honestly identify your skills and abilities, what you can do well and not be afraid to acknowledge the areas that you need to work on.

Good leadership is not perfection or flawless expertise. It’s knowing oneself and being authentic in how you treat yourself and others. It’s about being honest with yourself first and foremost and then with others.

Developing leadership skills is a lifelong process. We never arrive since every situation presents another opportunity for growth and development. An opportunity to stretch oneself yet again.

I have focused on leadership because we all become leaders at some point in our lives and it is important that we are ready when the moment arrives. That is truly how we can make a difference in our world, one person at a time.
